Introduction

Kyrie Irving is 25 years old and has been playing basketball since he was a kid. He is looked at among many kids adults and teens as one of the most greatest recent players. Kyrie is a four-time NBA All-Star . He won the championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016. When he was in highschool he played for his school team and ended up going to Duke for college. When he went to college he played for the Duke Blue Devils and started his NBA career in 2011. He got drafted in round 1 and got picked first. When playing for the Cavs he wore a black mask to protect a broken bone in his nose and then had to switch to a clear mask.In the year of 2017 he moved to the Boston Celtics and is currently playing for the team right now. When Kyrie was in highschool he became a star which led him to playing for Duke University.

When & Where was Kyrie born?

Kyrie was born March 23, 1992, his parents are Elizabeth Irving and Drederick Irving. He grew up in Melbourne Australia while his father played professional ball. He has both a U.S. and American Citizenship, which makes him eligible to play for either country under FIBA rules.

Why did he leave the Cavs?

“Me leaving there wasn’t about basketball” Kyrie said. Although Lebron and him were close he chose the path that was best for him. He been with the Cleveland Cavaliers for 6 years and even won them the championship in 2016. However, he felt it was time for him to move on and began a new journey in his life with a different team.

Stats

On his old team the Cleveland Cavaliers he averaged about 31 points per game, his shooting percentage was a .477 percent, and he averaged about 32 mins a game. However, when he switched over to the Boston Celtics, his stats changed a bit. Instead of him getting 31 points per game, he dropped to 21 points per game with the Boston Celtics.
